The Alexandra “Hoon_Dogg” Calhoon Memorial Scholarship covers 50% of the admission ticket for our annual meetup. Meetup tickets are $500 and include lodging (5 nights), breakfast, prizes, and transportation to and from the airport and around town. Winners of the scholarship will have their meetup attendance fee reduced to $250. Transportation to and from the meetup remains the responsibility of the attendee.

This scholarship is open to anyone¹ 18 or older who are interested in attending the meetup but may not have the financial means² to do so. Applicants are required to submit their choice of either a written statement or a short video of themselves explaining what attending the meetup would mean to them and why they are applying for this scholarship. The deadline for applications is May 30th.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to attend the meetup and we hope that this scholarship fund will help make that possible. Priority will be given to first-time scholarship applicants, however, previous scholarship recipients are eligible. One entry per household.

¹ Members of the board of directors, administration, and the immediate family/partners of these roles are ineligible for the scholarship.
² This scholarship is intended to make the meetup possible for those who otherwise could not attend, and is not intended to serve as a “discount” for those who can.
