Being a Mod can sometimes require a lot of reading. Starting now. So, take some time to read through this if you want to be part of the team.

Queercraft is not supposed to be a community with special statuses. We purposefully do not have whitelists or require people to prove themselves in order to play on our servers. We do not have member ranks like in every other Minecraft server you’ve probably joined. No colored text, no VIP's, no builder class. That being said we require a Mod and Admin team to make sure the community runs smoothly.
Our objective is to have a team that understands that becoming a moderator is not really a promotion. We attempt to keep the job fun, but at the end of the day it is work and a lot of days the job can be a drain. It’s a lot of effort with little to no return.
Our payoff is that Queercraft exists. The staff makes a community such as this one function. We have witnessed people create some really extraordinary things with blocks. We have seen people make new friends and more. We have helped people when they were at their lowest, rejected by family, or terrified of coming out. We have comforted each other through grief and depression. For many people we are a surrogate family.
The staff is here to welcome new members into the community and to ensure that Queercraft remains a safe, fair, and fun place to punch trees. It is important that we as staff do not behave like we are better than other members in any way.
These "jobs" also aren't forever. We do not have lifetime positions. There is no shame in stepping down because you can’t maintain the passion you once had. Take a break, hang out in Discord, or build a castle. We are here to serve the community and that should be our primary focus.
There are some specifics we require to keep things running smoothly. They’re boring, but necessary. If you have been a part of the Queercraft community for at least 45 days, have played at least 40 hours and are able to play at least 5 hours a week then you are qualified to apply. If you’re not sure how many days you’ve played just use /playtime. We also have the expectation that anyone we promote will be staff for at least 6 months.

Try to be realistic. Putting an unreasonably high number will not help your application.
